Minneapolis' Monte Moir is best known as the keyboardist of The Time, but those who study song credits also know he's a fabulous songwriter/producer who penned Alexander O'Neal's now-classic "If You Were Here Tonight", Janet Jackson's "The Pleasure Principle" and Ruby Turner's Quiet Storm gem, "In My life." He's FINALLY released a 10-song solo CD very much in the vein of artists such as Bobby Caldwell and Michael McDonald, whose songs he covered in his club days. As Maxwell might say, Mr Moir certainly has a "mellow-smooth" touch. Urban AC radio should lend an ear to "I'm The One Who Loves You," "For Want And Desire," the reggae flavored "On Your Way Home," and "Everyday Living."

"Moir's individual singing/songwriting talents truly shine through in this self-revealing, moving album as he carries his musical career into an entirely new realm. With the sensual sound of albums like Moby's play, Moir smoothly navigates his way through the complex nature of human emotion."
