Monte is a singer/songwriter, producer and one of the original members of the innovative R&B group The Time. His first solo CD, This Side of Paradise, is now available for purchase.

New Directions
Having spent most of his professional career writing and producing for others, Monte considers this a major turning point in his career. “Working on my own CD is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. And being able to step outside the box that the music industry likes to place around people is empowering,” he said.

Songwriting has always been his first love. “Songs, especially personal ones, are a reflection of thoughts and emotions one feels about their condition at a certain time in their life. And that process of transferring thoughts and emotions into a musical form is what has always interested me about this artform.” His plans include assembling a band and touring in support of the new CD as well as writing and recording a second CD.
